This is a Central Coast of California based website where there is almost no racing due to the fact all our tracks have been built on in the name of "progress". More people and less to do.
This area is not a complete speedway wasteland, however as with all forms of motorsport sprawl has taken its toll.
With few new tracks being built and ever increasing difficulties being thrown at promoters one has to wonder what the racing scene will look like in the next hundred years compared to the last hundred. Speedway came to Paso Robles in 1994, 1997 and in 2004 as a class within a flattrack event. The final saw local Paso racer Kit Nay examine the wall and get hit by Arroyo Grande rider Bryan Thompson. Arroyo Grande rider Phil Collins missed the melee and finished 2nd in the re-run behind NoCal rider Tommy Hedden.
